About the event

Art in Dialogue upholds a vital cultural U.S. – Russia dialogue by bringing together artists, thinkers and activists from both countries. This year’s line-up includes celebrated Russian film and stage actor and Oscar nominee, Sergei Garmash (Moscow Sovremennik Theatre), who will recite the masterpieces of Pushkin, Chekov, Brodsky and Yevtushenko. Mr. Garmash will be joined on stage by Peabody Award winning broadcaster, director and producer Elliott Forrest, and multi-Grammy Award nominated violinist Philippe Quint, who will perform an excerpt from his new show Charlie Chaplin’s Smile. Quint’s recent discovery of Charlie Chaplin’s gifts as a composer resulted in creations of 13 original arrangements of his songs for Warner Classics label and a new show based on Chaplin’s encounters with the great of composers of his time.

Admission: By invitation only
