RAHC

The Russian American Health Coalition (RAHC) is a collaborative initiative between community groups, faith-based organizations and the public and private health care sectors. RAHC was created in consultation with CAUSE-NY, the community-building arm of the Jewish Community Relations Council of NY, which was instrumental in establishment of Northern Queens Health Coalition, Lower Manhattan Healthcare Coalition, Greater Southern Brooklyn Health Coalition and many other successful local, national and international initiatives.

RAHC's mission is to reach out to the health care system of New York and better connect it to the Russian speaking community, the 3rd largest ethnic group in the area, ensuring the best health care for the Russian speaking community of New York. RAHC programming focuses on awareness and education within the community and the health care industry.

The Russian American Health Coalition is working to reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease in the Russian-speaking Community by encouraging people to cut their consumption of the sugar-sweetened beverages.
